4 Reasons Why WordPress is better than Blogspot
1. Installation Time
A new WordPress blog can be set up in less than 10 minutes. WordPress.com is the easiest free blogging website to set up, and if you decide to choose your own custom domain, it takes only a few minutes longer.
With its easy instalation, WordPress beats Blogspot hands down.
WordPress has an endless supply of free and premium themes. The vast number of free themes mean that you can set up a relatively unique looking blog, with a great theme, in minutes. As well as that, for those who are more technically skilled, WordPress and Blogspot allow you to make significant changes to the look of your website.
WordPress.com blogs do not allow monetization, unless you get an upgraded account or use a WordPress.org blog. This would involve you purchasing a domain name and hosting for your blog before you can install WordPress and place ads in your content.
My preference is WordPress because of its easy ad integration and its many Plugins that help.
Bloggers typically don’t like to pay to blog, especially when they realize that vast amount of free resources available on both Blogspot and WordPress.
Both WordPress and Blogspot, as well as many others, offer a free blogging service for the beginner blogger to be able to set up a blog in minutes.
For the blogger who wants to take their blog to the next level, there are great resources available on the WordPress platform that allow you to make endless customization’s until you are satisfied. It is a learning curve and only those who are passionate about it will last, but if you do, what you can create for free is incredible.
