Amazon Affiliates: How To Choose The Right Domain Name For Your Amazon Affiliates Website

Choosing the right domain name is not as easy as it seems. Your aim is to choose a domain name which is catchy, easy to say, and attractive.

I’m going to show you a quick and easy way to find the right domain for your Amazon Affiliates website to make sure you take advantage of up to date SEO and draw high quality traffic to your site.

So far, you’ve chosen your niche and set up the web hosting for your new website. To choose the right name, follow the simple aMillionBlogs tips below.

How To Choose The Right Domain Name For Your Amazon Affiliates Website

1. Include Your Product Name

One of the most important aspects about your site when it comes to SEO from Googles perspective is whether the word being searched for is in the URL. What better than to include your most searched for Keyword in your niche in the domain name. If your niche is Mens Watches, the words ‘Mens‘ and ‘Watches‘ should undoubtedly be in your domain.

2. Get Creative

Now you need to hit one of the major domain retailers such as Godaddy and search for the right domain. Our example of Mens Watches is already rather long and you don’t want your domain name to be more than 4 syllables. The perfect domain in our example would be menswatchesstore.com but of course that’s not available. This is why you need to get creative.

3. Use Webtools To Find The Right Name

Websites such as RhymeZone help you find words that rhyme with your niche name to give your domain a catchy name. Use an online thesaurus to find a variation of words which have already been sold.

4. Always Buy .com

For the sake of credibility and for a better search ranking, its always advised to buy the .com of your domain. If your niche is location specific, such as the United Kingdom, then the local .co.uk domain is recommended. In all other cases, you should be buying the .com domain and the .com domain alone.

If the domain you are looking for is not available in the .com, do not buy any other version as you will lose all of your traffic to the existing .com address.
